Superior Thought

There was a thought that was superior to all those other thoughts that circled around, buzzing like those green dragonflies that only lives for one day. Now, that brilliant thought got interrupted and disappeared into some void where it will search for meaning together with words that was never put into a proper sentence. The beauty of those letters combined, when formed into words, will be as meaningless as that one dragonfly that does not mate the very same day that it is born.
But the dragonfly, as young and careless as it ever would be, zoomed down through traffic on Cardinal avenue to crash straight into the windshield of an innocent Nissan Primera. In the search for meaning in it's dawn to dusk life, it successfully scared the hell out of the girl in the front passenger seat. The yell she let out startled the driver, causing a right turn out of that very situation, although I'd like to call it 'out of nowhere', but there was a somewhere. Yes, the somewhere incident was the dragonfly, as old and wise it ever would be.
In this sequence, thoughts got lost. Not only within the two cars colliding on Cardinal and whoever might have been driving them, but also within the dying dragonfly. Furthermore, the thought that resembled the dragonfly got lost from my head. Into some hellish void of punctuation malfunction and prose without capitalization it swirled, and where it lands that thought that was superior to all other thoughts will eventually perish.
All of this because of a careless insect. Beautiful, but in the end meaningless. And I - I was just an innocent bystander.

  1. Yes, the somewhere incident was the dragonfly, as old and wise it ever would be. It was the wisest of them all, for it, it had lived to see the great legendary war of great legend and high spirit and middle to 3/4 magic. Indeed, the dragonfly itself had at the very moment of the low elfves brewing of the Seasoned Superior Supper, compounded with the great magical powers veiled within the droplets as the sunbeams illuminated its sparkling mysteries. Aye, if you ask it why, why so, what is the reason, it will say to you: because it is written.
